New Angkor temple passes allow for greater flexibility...

After some debate and much lobbying, the Apsara Authority, the authority for protection and management of Angkor and the Siem Reap region, has agreed to extend the validity of Angkor temple passes and, thus, allowing for greater flexibility for its visitors.

Previous visitors to Siem Reap and the Angkor temple complex will have experienced that the 3-day and 7-day Angkor temple passes (US$ 40 and US$ 60 respectively) must have been used on consecutive days.
As of 1 July 2009, 3-day pass are valid for a 1 week period, and 7-day pass are valid for a 30-day period.

This will allow for greater flexibility for visitors to Siem Reap and Cambodia as it will be possible to break up the sightseeing in the temples and explore some of the many other sights and attractions in the area.
